Mushroom Habitats Walk with Mario

This walk will explore common mushroom habitats with focus on the associated trees. Take a guided tour with Naturalist and Mycologist, Mario Abreu to learn where you might find mushrooms once the winter rains prompt them to spring from the earth. Mario will also cover how mushrooms benefit from trees, tree identification basics, which mushroom species are associated with certain trees, and more. Registration is limited to 14 participants per walk.
Program Cost:
Advanced registration is required for all participants. There is a $25 registration fee to attend a Mushroom Habitats Walk, this includes admission to Gardens for the day ($10 – discounted rate for MCBG Members). Guidelines for your visit:
- At the entrance, we will ask for the name used to register/purchase your ticket(s) and look up your ticket(s) in our system.
- For the benefit of other participants and your guide, please try to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of your program.
- Masks are required during the walk both indoors and outdoors regardless of vaccination status. Please read and follow our local Health Order. If you are sick, please stay home.
